HOSA is a global student-led organization recognized by the U.S. Department of Education, the Department of Health and Human Services, and several federal and state agencies. HOSA actively promotes career opportunities in the health industry to enhance the delivery of quality health care to all people. HOSA provides a unique program of leadership development, motivation, and recognition exclusively for secondary, postsecondary, middle school, adult, and collegiate students enrolled in health science education and biomedical science programs or have interests in pursuing careers in health professions. COMPETITIVE EVENTS

HOSA’s Competitive Events Program provides 81 unique traditional events and 15 National Geographic Learning Academic Testing Center Events. The Competitive Events Program is designed to motivate HOSA members and provide a system for recognizing the competencies developed by members through Health Science and Biomedical Science class instruction, related job training, and HOSA related activities. Competitive events are designed to motivate HOSA members to improve their knowledge and skills. Membership 

Affiliation should be completed online at HOSA – Future Health Professionals

Membership should be entered using the HOSA CMS

HOSA dues are $15 yearly. This includes $10 national and $5 state dues. Pay HOSA directly for both state and national dues using the HOSA CMS portal. Do not send membership correspondence or money to the state HOSA office (MCCB). If you send a check to the state HOSA office, it will be returned to you. The State HOSA Office does not handle membership dues. Membership payments can be processed online with a credit card.  

Membership Deadline for State Competition 

Your chapter’s initial membership affiliation, accompanied by dues payment, must be received at the National Office before January 31, 2025, in order for your members to compete during the 2025 year. The National Office must be able to validate that your chapter is paid in full for members competing.
